Gobi 33 ("we", "us") runs this website and the restaurant at 174A Franklin Street, Adelaide SA 5000. This policy explains what personal information we collect through the website, why, and how we look after it.
When you make a booking
To request a table or the karaoke room, we ask for your name, email address and party size, the date, time and room you'd like, and optionally your phone number and any notes (for example dietary needs or an occasion). We use this only to consider, confirm or decline your booking and to contact you about it.
Your request is emailed to our team to approve. If we confirm it, the booking — including your contact details and notes — is saved in our booking calendar so staff can see it on the day. We send you an email when we receive your request and again when we confirm or decline it.
Who helps us do this
We use a small number of service providers, who handle your information only to provide their service:
- Google (Google Calendar) — where confirmed bookings are kept.
- Resend — sends the booking emails.
- Netlify — hosts this website and processes the booking form.
These providers may store or process information on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your booking details for marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep booking details for as long as we need them to manage your visit and for our ordinary business records, and then delete them. You can ask us to delete your details sooner (see below).
Analytics
We may use Google Analytics to understand how the website is used overall — for example which pages are visited and how often people tap "Reserve", "Call" or "Order". We do not send your name, email, phone number or booking details to Google Analytics. IP addresses are anonymised and Google's advertising features are turned off.
Cookies and storage on your device
If analytics is enabled, Google Analytics sets cookies to tell visits apart. The site also remembers, on your device only, whether you chose the light or dark theme and whether you closed the current promotion banner. You can clear or block these at any time in your browser settings; the site still works without them.
Links to other services
The website links to services such as Uber Eats, Google Maps and Facebook. When you use them, their own privacy policies apply.
Accessing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted, by contacting us using the details below. If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, please contact us first. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
